The last day before we left for the outback, I had a lovely day shopping for 2nd hand summer dresses with Kristina. She's a super sweet, creative and crazy girl whom I'm going to share a room with for five weeks while being in Brisbane. We had a nice and long walk to West End, were we found four 2nd hand shops.
This pic is for my boyfriend:
Stayed quite long in the first shop. Kristina tried four dresses and bought three of them plus a hat. She looked gorgeous in everything. For me it was a bit harder. Tried about ten dresses, but they were either too small, too big or just very silly.
Surprise inside the skirt of a dress:
Kristina didn't buy
this one. Said it made her think of the Pink Ladies in Grease:
But she did buy this
one. I wish there was another one in my size, so jealous :(
This one was the
first I tried. Too long and not very comfy at the top:
She bought this one too.
Super cute!
Could've bought this
one, but it was very see-through, and not 100% me:
The lady working there was a one of a kind enthusiastic and creative woman. The way she talked and looked, so cool, wish I had a picture of her. She took pictures of us with different dresses that she will put on her Facebook page. They aren't uploaded yet, but you can find the page here.
Next shop: I tried about fifteen dresses. Liked them better than in the last shop, but I was still not sure if any of them were perfect. At least I had fun trying them on. Here are two:
Third shop: Tried three dresses and finally bought one. Green with flowers, loved it! And loved the shop from the outside:
Fourth shop: Tried three more and bought one of them, the perfect white summer dress for only 6 dollars, wohoo! So it was a successful day for me after all. Kristina even got some bloke's telephone number. He tried some jackets on in the last shop and asked us for advice. Told her he's a musician:
Finished it all with a beer in a place were I'd like to go back.
